A screen by any other name…

I guess the reason people don’t like the acronym DOOH is it’s vaguely reminiscent of doo-doo, as in the deep variety.

But like Dave says, the name isn’t terribly important. “Digital signage” is an awful, awful term, making it sound like we’re in the business of providing those airline departure boards based on rotating numbers. (And at least half the time, what we’re calling “digital signage” isn’t signage in any meaningful sense anyway.)

Yet it’s stuck. A bit like “World Wide Web”, a silly term that isn’t even spelled properly…
