First look: Marketplace Station's Whole Foods install

January 6, 2009 by Dave Haynes

Raji Kalra, of The Marketplace Station, kindly sent over some snapshots of the new screen network installation his company recently completed at a pair of Whole Foods stores in the Toronto area.

I’m not a huge fan of screens hanging from ceilings, but in this case the guys did a great job of positioning the screens sufficiently low and into the aisles and sections that they have genuine impact. They also, wisely, made up new branded fascia to overlay the flat panel screens.

These guys are clients, so I am a little biased, but I genuinely think it is one of the better examples out there of integrating a screen network into an existing store. From what Raji tells me, the clients are very happy and, more to the point, they are busily taking advantage of how the screens can drive product awareness and stimulate sales.

The Marketplace network is focused on organic and natural health-focused retailers like Whole Foods.
