Mixer draws healthy mob despite election

October 15, 2008 by Dave Haynes

Best intentions went awry Tuesday as I found myself, by midday, pretty much wanting to crawl into a corner and grumble … the flu my daughter had on the weekend decided to give me a viisit (and hasn’t left yet).

So I did not make the trip up the road into downtown for the monthly mixer, but Ingram Micro’s Dmitry Sokolov tells me a good crowd was on hand … maybe 30 or so. And some new faces among the group, including content and AV integrator types.

Thanks to Paul and his colleagues at Internet Connectivity Group for taking on host duties!

Next one is second Tuesday of November, the 11th, at the same spot.

For those from afar curious about Canuck politics, we had a snap election about not very much in an attempt by the Prime Miniister ot turn his minority government into a majority government. Didn’t work. Still a minority after last night’s returns. Sign printers and broadcasters got a QW3-Q4 bump in revenues from all those lawn signs and TV ads, but that’s about all that was accomplished.
