Comcast Center walking tour for DSE

September 4, 2008 by Dave Haynes

The Comcast Center was absolutely on my must-see list for Philly in a couple of weeks, sometime before or during the DSE East show.

Apparently it was for quite a few people, sufficiently so that the event and screen manufacturer Barco have pulled together a walking tour of the massibe LED board installation in the lobby of the downtown Philly office tower.

The tour will give attendees a chance to see the world’s highest resolution LED display at Philadelphia’s new Comcast Center. The cutting edge Barco display, spanning 85 feet, provides a canvas for astonishing graphics and photo-realistic vistas, transforming the Comcast Center entrance from a lobby into a city-wide destination and spectacular forum for public art.

Earlier that same day, Digital Signage Expo East will present a full day “Content Showcase.” The Wednesday and Thursday conference days offer three “Super Sessions”, and a choice of 16 Conference workshops as well as 21 new “Lunch & Learn” sessions.

Chris Gibbs, Executive Vice President of ExpoNation, LLC the producer of Digital Signage Expo and DSE East said, “We are pleased to be able to offer this free walking tour of the Comcast Center as an another opportunity for our attendees to experience innovative applications in digital signage technologies.”

The Comcast Center walking tour will meet at 6pm Tuesday, September 16th at the Comcast Center at 1701 John F. Kennedy Blvd., only a few blocks from the convention center. Those interested in participating must RSVP to steve.sheldon@barco.com.
