If you do product research, planning or consulting in digital signage, you will know it can be a bit of a struggle to poke around the Web to find all the information needed for things like displays.

There are B2C sites and B2B sites, and sometimes neither have what you need.

So this sort of thing, presumably, helps – an online communications portal dedicated to public information display (PID) technologies and panel product. That’s what Samsung has just announced: Samsung Display PID.

The “one-stop shop” PID website, says a Samsung news release, provides easy-to-access detailed information on all of Samsung Display’s state-of-the-art PID panels for video walls, indoor and outdoor signage, interactive whiteboards, stretched (32:9) displays, and transparent commercial displays. The official site also provides customized information for various locations where Samsung Display panels have become popular such as educational institutions, control rooms, hotels, retailers, bus shelters, subway stations and airports.

“This new PID communication portal provides our customers and future customers with easy ‘anytime-anywhere’ access to important information that simplifies decision-making in the purchasing and use of PID panels,” says Oseung Yang, vice president and head of the LCD marketing team at Samsung Display.

The portal includes a Learning Center menu that allows users to review the latest industry information about PID panels including reports, publications, case studies, blogs and news of upcoming PID trade shows.
