embedsignage Latest To Add ChromeOS Digital Signage Support

The UK cloud-based signage software firm embedsignage is the latest company to add support for ChromeOS devices.

The player, available off Google’s Chrome store, will run on Chromeboxes or the more recently introduced Chromebits.

Like several companies out there, embedsignage has a web-centric platform that drops pretty readily on to numerous operating systems (whereas the first generation of signage platforms tended to be tied to one or perhaps two, like Windows and Ubuntu Linux). embedsignage says ChromeOS adds to support already in place for iOS, MacOS, Windows, Android, Samsung’s SSP displays and ONELAN’s media players.

The full list of supported Chrome software options, and hardware, is here …
