DSF Names MGM’s Dearborn As New Chairman; Adds To Board

January 22, 2016 by Dave Haynes

DSF_200The Digital Signage Federation has announced its 2016 executives, as well as the elected broad of directors.

Randy Dearborn, who runs MGM Resorts International’s many different digital sign installs, is the 2016 Chairman and Ken Goldberg, CEO of  Real Digital Media, has been sent to the sunny porch out back where they put past chairmans.

Rich Ventura of NEC Display Solutions is now Vice-Chairman and heir to the throne, and Spencer Graham from West Virginia University is Treasurer/Secretary.

The eight At-Large Board Director seats, which include three reinstated members, were decided, says the DSF, in an independent election.

The three back for more …

New folks …

The press release is kinda fuzzy on this, but I believe there are some others still on the board, for year two of two-year terms, like Manny Almagro from TPN. Their pix and details are still on the board page.

The DSF says it now has some 650 individuals from 260 organizations in its membership, and the number is growing.

Ken Goldberg is no shrinking violet, but it will be particularly interesting to see what happens this year with the DSF guided by Randy, who is not even slightly shy to speak his mind. When the member organization started, the leadership was not exactly typified by stirrers of pots.

It’s also good to see end-users like Fleuranges from the New York mass transport system and Vagner (who I don’t know) from the hospitality business.
