Here’s a look inside GE Aviation’s new Middle East Aviation Technology Center, which opened last month in the Dubai Airport Free Zone area.

The facility – in one of those parts of Dubai where foreign companies are encouraged to set up shop – is there to support customers and help them optimize aviation operations in the region, but it’s also there to wow customers who are being sold into the company’s big infrastructure-big data platform, called Predix.

The facility has numerous video walls, including ones in 7×3, 3×5, 3×2 and 1×6 configurations. There are also 10 46-inch Ideum touch tables and a giant 100-inch panoramic touch table.

The program was put together by UK-based AV & IT designer Cundall and Dubai-based solutions provider 2point0 Concepts made it happen.
