I don’t tend to write about temporary projects or plain old video walls, but a video wall put in place for Canadian broadcaster CTV’s upfront (programming showcase for advertisers and media) went very big, and shows what is possible,

The Bell Media/CTV’s Upfront in June 2015 used one of the largest video walls ever built in North America – 108 ultra narrow bezel NEC 55-inch LCDs. The set-up was rented by the media company and executed by systems integrator APG Displays, set up on a stage at downtown Toronto’s Sony Centre for Performing Arts.

The mega-wall had a hydraulic system in place, at the top, so presenters at the upfront could freely maneuver around it, including breaking apart so people on stage could walk through it.
