IAdea Releasing Pair Of Solid State 4K Signage Players

May 27, 2015 by Dave Haynes

iadeapreviewTaiwan’s IAdea is releasing a commercial-grade, video wall-ready 4K digital signage player that supports H.265 video decoding, the emerging standard that can cut monster 4K video file sizes in half.

The XMP-7300 is a solid-state and fan-less, and housed in a ruggedized quarter-inch thickness aluminum enclosure. A version of the unit is being made to comply with the Open Pluggable Specification that allows players to be slot-loaded inside certain commercial panels.

The units also have a BLE beacon inside to enable proximity marketing to smartphones.

The units will be shown off at Infocomm next month (booth#5493 – preview on right), as well as a pair of new all-in-one signboards.
