The LA software firm UCView announced last year its support for the initial Raspberry Pi micro PC, and its developers have now followed up with support for the beefier Raspberry Pi 2. The new software is also completely compatible with the original UC View ARM Caster HD (Raspberry Pi 1).

The company, via its blog, says the Pi 2 offers optimal computing performance with a 900MHz quad-core ARM Cortex-A7 CPU – which is 6 times more powerful than the original Raspberry Pi 1. The Raspberry Pi 2 offers twice the memory at 1GB LPDDR2 SDRAM.

The Linux-compatible digital signage device can do HD video and supports multiple zones of content (editor: but don’t do that).
