Projects: Shell Does Own Gas Pump Network

shellstnFuel giant Shell is bankrolling its own screen network on gas pumps in the Netherlands, with some 75 stations and 600 screens up and running.

The company also has a trial going in Malaysia. The content is a 90-second loop of 10 second spots for store promotions and customer information.

The network is running BroadSign‘s ad-centric play-out and media targeting platform.

The screens on gas pump thing is not new, but generally it has been third-party ad networks – and not the fuel companies – putting screens in and selling ad time.
