DSrupted Mixer Now A DSF Regional Council Meet & Greet

The Digital Signage Federation has established four DSF Regional Councils – one each in Atlanta, Chicago, Minneapolis and Toronto – and the DSF Toronto Regional Council is now formally the host of the mixer set for 6:30-9:00 pm Sept. 16th at Shoeless Joe’s Sports Grill in downtown Toronto.

The event is the evening before the all day DSrupted conference the next day.

The Digital Signage Federation Regional Council is, says the DSF, a regular forum for professionals invested or planning to invest in digital signage communications technologies to meet with their peers to network and share mutually beneficial information in a casual atmosphere where business opportunities can be identified and nurtured. Plus, many of these meetings will feature an end-user guest speaker from a variety of industry verticals either based in that local market or invited to visit for the occasion.

History

The DSF Board of Directors initiated a Board-hosted “Meet & Greet” program in 2013 to seed interest in such local meetings, which were all very well attended by DSF members and non-members alike, turning out 50-100 attendees per gathering who were excited to have a local forum in which to network professionally.

Those local professionals embraced the Regional Council concept and have formally submitted and received approved applications to establish these locally-led council groups, each of which has targeted an initial program of regular quarterly gatherings.

The mixer is at Shoeless Joe’s Sports Grill, 276 King Street West, Toronto. If you know Toronto, pretty much across the street from Roy Thomson Hall. If you don’t, it’s right downtown.
