Jimmy Kimmel Mocks Talking Flat Lady; Has Better Idea (video)

Late night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel and his crew were equally unimpressed by the good Talking Flat Lady things being rolled out at NYC airports. He didn’t buy into the sexy time talk by the host, and suggests a better idea for a more typical New York welcome.

    That is a funny bit, not least of which is because there’s a lot of truth to his observations. Another way to sum up is, “Great technology, off-target execution.” Haven’t we seen this issue before with DOOH tech? This tech has so much potential, and look what they did with it. The last part of the bit is likewise funny because it humorously is saying, “get real!” Which is what the implementers need to do: Get real, get functional, get USEFUL. The actual installation is just suggestive and silly in a hokey way. This is a serious product with serious potential that could actually have had people applauding it, and instead it becomes a laughingstock on late night comedy tv.
