rVue Founder Kates No Longer CEO

May 17, 2012 by Dave Haynes

Not being very bright, I didn’t even pick up in the rVue Q1 financials news of the other day that the statements were being made by “Michael Mullarkey, CEO and Chairman of rVue Holdings, Inc.”

Huh? I thought Jason Kates was CEO?

Having written about the company’s recent struggles with revenues, I went looking for the conference call transcript for late yesterday and instead noticed this:

RVUE HOLDINGS, INC. Files SEC form 8-K, Change in Directors or Principal Officers

“On April 30, 2012, Jason Kates resigned as a member of the Board of Directors of rVue Holdings, Inc. (the “Company”) and also stepped down as Chief Executive Officer of the Company. He will remain with the Company and focus on business development and strategic alliances for the Company.”

Wow. Like a a number of companies in this space, Kates was clearly THE guy at the company.
