Preset DSE 2011 Mixer: SOLD OUT

January 31, 2011 by Dave Haynes

SORRY ABOUT THAT. LAST YEAR IT TOOK 24 HOURS OR SO TO RUN OUT OF TICKETS. THIS YEAR, SEVEN. MAYBE WE NEED A BIGGER VENUE IN 2012?

We saw a few duplications, and we will ask people to let us know if they can’t come after all … so watch this space as we expect a few more slots will open up.

Last year some 180 members of the digital signage community got together the night before the exhibit hall opened for Digital Signage Expo. It was a huge success, and clearly the start of a tradition.

So The Preset Group, a digital signage consultancy, has organized a bigger, even better mixer for this year on February 22rd. It’s a totally informal gathering intended to get the community together to meet and chat – with attendees ranging from CEOs to people who are completely new to the sector.

We have a new venue this year – giving us much more room, in a dedicated space, and a budget that allows for buying our industry friends a couple of rounds. The new venue is The Pub at the Monte Carlo Resort and Casino. We have the upper level area dedicated to our needs, so we can control the volume of people and (we hope) ambient music, and make sure everyone has a great time.

We also understand The Pub has an on-tap and in-bottle beer selection – something like 200 brews – that will drive many men to unashamed tears of joy.

The meet-up will run from 6-9, though we expect some or many will linger. There is no admission fee. We have room for about 250, a chunk of that will be people invited by sponsors, as well as Pat Hellberg’s wives and children from Utah. Last year, we were fully subscribed in less than 24 hours.
