Next mixer is Tuesday night

November 6, 2008 by Dave Haynes

It is once again mixer time, with the next one set for Tuesday evening.

Nov. 11 is Remembrance Day in Canada, when we set aside time to honor Canada’s war veterans. I’ve always felt everything should shut down that day, but that doesn’t happen — so we’re on, but still very much thinking about the contributions made in the past by soldiers and still today in Afghanistan.

That said, the event is this time sponsored by Premier Mounts. That means they will slap down the credit card at the end of the night.

The locale is the same as the last two – Six Steps Restaurant and Lounge at 55 Colborne Street, in downtown Toronto. It is just east of Yonge Street, near the financial district. Not sure if we are up or down at the place, but people should be there starting at around 6:30.

Thanks again to Dmitry and Lora and Ingram Micro for setting things up and getting Premier involved. This is looking like the last one until the new year, as December is Christmas party month and people tend to get pretty tied up with social commitments.

As always, we look forward to seeing familiar faces and new ones who are active or interested in the digital signage and digital out of home industries. It’s a purely casual event where people can meet, swap cards, tell lies and plot bloodless coups.

Hope to see you there.
